Talk:Maneuvers
From Shape Shifter
First Playtest
This is the part of the game that is still under heavy playtesting. For the first play test, each player was allowed to choose 3 maneuvers from a list of 12. Knights were allowed to change which 3 between encounters, when resting a moment. All other Archetypes were allowed to change which 3 at the end of the day, when resting the night.
General Discussion
If this were a true wiki, every power would probably link to its own page. The discussion features are actually kind of weak. Kingmundi
Some general notes concerning last nights game. Al brought up a good point about Avengers stances (or any power for any fighter for that matter) concerning how they are used and a realistic explanation of the power. How could a fighter know how to cleave and only be able to use it once per encounter? It seems like something you either know how to do, or you do not know how to do. So you should be able to just do cleave, over and over again. Kingmundi
- I recall in World of Warcraft, warriors can do similar abilities, but they need to build up rage and then spend rage energy to be able to do their special moves. Its a tough call to make, as trying to implement some kind of rage point system just seems unwieldly and over complicated. I think a better analogy might be to look at a boxing fight. A boxer knows how to land a body blow, or right hook, but he waits for the correct opportunity to throw the punch and it doesn't always land. I can't think of a good system off the top of my head that would mimic this without overhead. Kingmundi 02:47, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
